Neuropsychology
Assessment and rehabilitation of cognitive functions (memory, attention, concentration).
Neuropsychology in Koekelberg: what is it?
Neuropsychology studies cognitive functioning: memory, attention, language, reasoning and executive functions. The neuropsychologist carries out standardised assessments to understand difficulties, establish a profile (ADHD, giftedness, learning disorders) and suggest appropriate cognitive remediation.
At Centre Médical Koekelberg, two neuropsychologists — one of whom holds degrees in neuropsychology and clinical psychology from ULB — assess children, teenagers, adults and older people. They also offer cognitive remediation and study-skills support.

Reimbursement
Neuropsychological assessments in private practice are generally not reimbursed by INAMI/RIZIV (national health insurance). Some mutuelles (health insurance funds) offer a contribution. The fee for the assessment is given to you in advance.
