The first session is a chance to get to know each other: you explain what brings you, the psychologist asks a few questions and explains how they work. Together, you decide on the next steps (frequency and length of the therapy). A session usually lasts 45 minutes to an hour.
Reimbursement
If the psychologist is contracted within the primary-care psychology network, most of the cost of the session is covered by INAMI/RIZIV (national health insurance).
